Born in Cape Town , South Africa, Neville Diedericks begun honing his musical talents at an early age. From the age of 12 when Neville D picked up his first guitar and begun strumming on the piano keys his family and friends noticed his incredible gift and begun encouraging his musical career.

 

With a smooth voice and infectious charm Neville D burst onto the music scene over a decade ago, this multitalented singer, songwriter and producer has five albums to his name and two South African Music Award nominations for best R&B Album (Calling my name) and Best Urban Gospel Album (Songs of Deliverance). “15 years since Calling My Name was released, I feel that it is time to really celebrate what God has done for me thus far. I want to bring glory unto God by putting together some of my most loved songs all on one CD and calling it “The Best of Neville D”, says Neville.

Neville D’s name is known worldwide as he accompanies four times Grammy Awardwinner Israel Houghton in his group Israel and New Breed. Houghton. Neville has successfully toured the United States, Malaysia, Indonesia and Africa as a whole with this mega group.  “15 years sinceCalling My Name was released, I feel that it is time to really celebrate what God has done for me thus far. The thirty-three year old and father of four is pleased to announce that this CD will be available first week of December. It will be made up of songs that have really carried him through the last 15 years; songs like Calling My Name, The Sun Will Shine Again, Jesus is Alive, El Shaddai, Cape Town Girl and more.

 

Neville D has a huge admiration for musical legends that have contributed greatly to his sound, such as Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Boys 2 Men, Jonathan Butler, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Whitney Houston, David Foster and Quincy Jones only to name a few.

 

Neville D’s incredible song writing ability has been noticed by legends in the music industry, having written songs for Israel Houghton, and local stars Judith Sephuma, Ernie Smith and Joyous Celebration.
